Inilah teksnya....
Madam Charanjit Farewell Speech
Dr. Mohd. Sofi bin Ali, Director of IPBA, Mr Rijeng Jahet, Deputy Director of IPBA, our honorable guest; Mdm Charanjit Kaur, dear respected lecturers of IPBA and fellow friends.
Today, we are going to say goodbye to a very tremendous, fabulous educator. Not only we are going to say goodbye but we also want to say “thank you” and we want to wish you well.
And it's a bit hard to begin where we supposed to start because we have a lot of reasons to say “thank you”.
The first thought that comes to our mind is the sheer effort that you've put into everything you've done. No job is easy most of the time and some people would say teaching profession is never easy. But you've always prepared to put in the hard work.
We also wanted to thank you for the way you've always been around to offer your support. You know how to offer the right encouraging word, you're always able to give people a push in the right direction when they need it, and you've always been ready to give people a helping hand.
Above of all, we'd like to thank you for being a great person around. Whatever work you choose to do, it's always more enjoyable when you do it with people that you like. And we all like to have you around,
Mdm Charanjit, you possess a vast of knowledge and wisdom and you have taught us here. So I'm glad we have this opportunity today to tell you just how much you are mean to us, how much we admire you, and how grateful we are for you been the educator, the friend, and the special family member of us in your career as IPBA lecturer.
We all count ourselves lucky - - lucky to have you as an example, - lucky to have your guidance, - lucky to have your support.
We've shared some great memories, and we've been through some interesting times, and we've managed a laugh or two along the way.
We'll miss your very particular way of doing things, and we'll miss your good advices and the example you've set for the rest of us.
But let's not spend this time looking only backward.
We should also be looking forward, because you're about to start the other part of your life that can be most rewarding, if you make the most out of it.
Someone once said that wisdom is to know what to do next; virtue is doing it. You have managed both.
I can't tell you how much we respect and admire you for that. You still have years in you, and many years of wise deeds behind you. Madam Charanjit, you are the one that friends who care for and admire, and family who loves you.
You have accomplished so much, and I'm glad that now you have the chance to rest.
And now that your time has come for you to enjoy yourself, I want you to know that we wish you many happy years ahead.
This is the start of a new chapter for you. New things to be explored, new places to been, new things to be done. We hope you enjoy these days ahead of you. You deserve the very best that a retired life has to offer, and we hope you'll make the most out of it.
All the best,, and wish you a happy retirement.
Thank you, and God bless you.
